Currency

In your company settings under Language/Region, you can set your base currency. The only currencies available are CHF (Swiss Franc) and EUR (Euro). This currency serves as the base currency for all bookings and reports. It is not possible to change the base currency after the fact.

The base currency serves as the central basis for your company's accounting and financial reporting. It allows for a clear and uniform presentation of all financial transactions in the chosen currency, which is particularly important for compliance with legal requirements and the clarity of reports.

Notes and tips

• The selection of the base currency should be made carefully, as it cannot be changed. Consider the primary business activity of your company as well as the economic region in which you operate.
• If your business activities are heavily influenced by foreign currencies, you can use additional foreign currency accounts to manage exchange rate differences.
• Note that legal requirements may require the presentation of values in CHF, even if your functional currency is EUR.
