AbaSalary Payroll Instructions

In AbaNinja, you can make the account assignments for AbaSalary when you post the payrolls from AbaSalary via AbaNinja. You can find this feature under Settings > Accounting > AbaSalary Account Assignment. Here, you can specify which accounts in AbaNinja the individual postings from AbaSalary should be assigned to. This is especially important because when posting, it is automatically checked whether the required accounts are available in AbaNinja. If accounts are missing, the posting cannot be made and a financial inbox is displayed in the account statement, which points to the problem.

Requirements

  • You need a paid subscription to AbaNinja to use this feature.
  • A flexible chart of accounts in AbaNinja is required for the account assignments to be made correctly. You can either import this from your Abacus financial accounting, upload it as a JSON file, or create it manually.

Notes and tips

  • Make sure your chart of accounts in AbaNinja is complete and up-to-date to avoid posting errors.
  • If postings cannot be assigned when posting from AbaSalary, first check the account assignments and add any missing accounts.
  • The financial inbox in the account statement shows you which postings have not yet been correctly assigned.
  • For the import of a flexible chart of accounts from Abacus or as a JSON file, you will find detailed instructions in our helpdesk.
