Evaluation of vacation

You can evaluate the booked holidays of your employees as follows:

Go to the Time Tracking > Employees > Employee menu in AbaNinja. Select the desired employee and click on the corresponding record.

Under Analyses & Reports, you will now find all the important information under the tabs In & Out, Work, Absences, Holidays, Total and Short-time work. If you have entered the target hours when creating the employees, his over- or under-hours are visible.

The analyses can be printed per tab. With the activation of a paid subscription, you can also output the data as a PDF or download it as an Excel (XLS).

For the calculation of the holiday time, the following assumptions are made in AbaNinja in the background:

  • The year always has 360 days
  • A month always has 30 days (e.g. also February)
  • Leap years are not taken into account
  • The start of the employment relationship is used for the calculation (not the date of entry)

Formula if entry at the start of the month and exit at the end of the month:

(Holiday per year * Number of months since the start of the employment relationship) / 12 = Holiday entitlement for the calculated period

Formula if entry during the month and exit at the end of the month:

(Holiday per year * (30 - Start of employment relationship + 1)) / (12 * 30) = Holiday entitlement for the calculated period

Example entry at the beginning of the month and exit at the end of the month

  • Holiday per year = 25
  • Employment relationship valid from 01.01.2023
  • Exit at the end of February (28.02.2023)

(25 holiday days * 2 months) / 12 = 4.17 days holiday entitlement

Example entry during the month

  • Holiday per year = 25
  • Employment relationship valid from 11.12.2023
  • Exit on 31.12.2023

(25 holiday days * (30 - 11 + 1)) / (12 * 30) = 1.39 days holiday entitlement

If the holiday time is not displayed, the previous year must first be completed so that the remaining holiday time from the previous year can be added.
