Pending Payments

The Pending status means that a payment has been sent from AbaNinja to your e-banking, but has not yet been definitively executed (transferred) there. The payment is therefore waiting for confirmation from the bank before AbaNinja can mark it as done.

Benefits

  • You keep track of payments that have already been sent to e-banking, but have not yet been executed.
  • This allows you to monitor open payment orders and take action if necessary to clarify delays.

What does the Pending status mean exactly?

  • Payments in the Pending status have been successfully sent to e-banking.
  • The bank has not yet executed the payment, for example because the transfer has not yet been processed or approved.
  • Only after the actual execution of the payment will the status be automatically set to Done in AbaNinja.

What to do if payments remain pending

  1. Check your bank connection: Make sure your bank connection in AbaNinja is active and correctly set up. For temporary connections, the connection may need to be renewed.
  2. Manually synchronize: You can manually trigger the action Retrieve transactions in the Banking menu to retrieve the current status of payments and account movements. This is possible once a day.
  3. Check your e-banking: Log directly into your e-banking and check if the payment orders have arrived correctly and if there are any approvals or confirmations pending.
  4. Wait for bank processing: Some banks take time to process payment orders. The automatic status change in AbaNinja only takes place after the booking on your account.
  5. Contact the bank if there are problems: If payments remain pending for an unusually long time, contact your bank to clarify the status of the payment orders.
  6. Contact support: If the bank connection is correct and there are no problems in e-banking, contact AbaNinja support for further assistance.

Tips and hints

  • Payments without bank connection can only be exported, but not sent directly to e-banking, so there is no Pending status.
  • Make sure you re-establish the connection for temporary bank connections as needed, as otherwise there can be no synchronization.
  • Avoid duplicate payment orders by regularly checking the status and synchronization.
  • Use the overview in the menu Finance > Payments to keep track of all payment statuses.

Tip:
Perform the synchronization of account movements daily to keep payments up to date and detect delays early. This way you keep control over your liquidity and avoid open payment orders in the Pending status.
This procedure ensures a smooth payment process and correct booking of your payments in AbaNinja.

In rare cases, payment orders may remain in the Pending status even though the payment has been transferred from the bank account.
The following causes could be the reason for this:

  • The payment order is changed after transmission in e-banking, for example the reference or the valuta date.
  • The payment order is deleted and re-entered after transmission in e-banking.
  • There was a technical problem with your bank connection in AbaNinja, for example if the comparison of account movements could no longer be carried out.

In this case, these payments must be deleted.

It is possible that the triggered payment is additionally imported as To be processed in a new bank reconciliation. After deleting the payment in the Pending status, you can manually assign the imported account movement to the corresponding document.
