Employee Groups

With the "Employee Groups" feature in AbaNinja, you can categorize your employees into different groups, such as "Standard", "Management", or "Administration". This categorization allows you to structure time tracking and evaluations specifically by departments, teams, or roles. Each employee group can be individually named and described to increase clarity. You can create new groups by clicking "Create Employee Group". Enter a unique name and an optional description.

  • Assigning employees to groups makes managing work schedules, performance types, and evaluations easier.
  • Evaluations such as work hours, vacation, or absences can be specifically created for individual groups, which simplifies planning and control.
  • The group structure helps you to control permissions and access rights specifically by releasing certain functions to specific groups.

Tips and Hints

  • You can edit or archive groups at any time if they are no longer needed.
  • Assigning an employee to a group is done directly in the employee profile. Each employee can only be assigned to one group.
  • Use the group filters in the evaluation to specifically create reports for certain teams or departments.
  • Standard groups such as "Standard", "Management", or "Administration" are already predefined, but can be adjusted or expanded according to your needs.
  • The grouping also affects rights management: you can assign specific access rights to certain groups, such as only time tracking or also administrative functions.
  • For time tracking, it is recommended to assign work schedules and additional work schedules directly to the respective groups to ensure consistent and correct work time calculation.
